Sports Champion event @ St. Regis @ 11:50 PM
I'm suppose to finish drafting this post last week, straight after the event. It dragged for a week later and here's it.
Some day last week..
Me: I've this event at St. Regis this Thursday, it's for the POSB Everyday Sports Champion campaign..
Cherie: Wah, so porsh! 6 star hotel leh!
Me: *Blur to the maximum* what!? It's a 6 star?! Better than the fullerton?

Artist impression of the hotel
Seriously, what am i suppose to wear!
Then Ming says.. "Eh! I think ______ will be there! I read it on the news.."
Are you serious or not! To be honest, I thought he was kidding. In fact, I didn't take it for real.
Thank god I have Wennie to assist me on the dress and hair! That tinkers me to prepare clothings for such events, now that I'm really working. (my orders from Korea not arrived yet!)

Forgot to mention, I'm attending POSB Everyday Sports Champion '09 event. Basically 57 winners will be announced and receiving awards on that day. After which voting will begin for the real champion. If you vote for the ultimate champion, you might have a chance to bring home $1000 cash! $_$ So my vote goes to..

Reason 1: She is among the top 3.. so voting for her would probably up my chance nearer to 1k!
Reason 2: I specifically admire sports person who never got tired of doing sports despite their quite-old age. Joyce Leong (above) for example, is 52 years old! Moreover, its a 'she' so here goes my support!
Back to the event.

First, I will mention the hotel. The service is top-notch. From the very moment my foot kissed the ground. Simply fantastic! Often many of you might find this problem very common. I used to work in a banquet before and I know. Its either that they do not have enough staff or they simply can't be bothered to top up your drinks at all! For St. Regis, they'll make sure the water level is always to the brim. They served you individually and the presentation of the food is wonderful. It is chinese cuisine BTW.
So who is that mysterious person? None other than..

President S. R Nathan! Ming is not lying! To be Kiasu a bit, it's the first time I'm seeing him in RL. Did not go to some tea drinking event @ the Istana before. He seems like a kind old man. *Waves*
Foods served then to the main highlight of the event. Awards ceremony!

I took quite a few, but lazy to upload!
Time and formalities passed!
Guess what is the coversation circling the table!?

Food! Arnolds! Fried Chicken!
I dare not claim that Arnolds the best in the world. But probably to ME, its the best fried chicken in Singapore, that would mean beating KFC hands down!
It was then time for some business and interviewing with some of the winners..
Here's some group images..

The event was short and sweet! A perfect dinner to attend.
As per normal procedures, the president left earlier than anybody else!

Mrs Nathan said good night to me! Haha. Well, that's of course I said first :P
I should be saying bye bye too!
And one last thing to add on, Minister of Community Development, Youth and Sports Minister Vivian Balakrishnan is probably the most yandao MP of all. And his wife is duper hot!
One day later in office, we were debating on how much we knew about Singapore. Ming asked if we'are able to name all the MPs or members of the cabinets without any references. He won.
