Happy 2nd birthday, nuffnang! @ 2:37 PM

YAY! Nuffnang turns
2
(This is gonna be a picture post!)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, COMPANY! The occasion was yesterday.

Not sure if you know, our office has a mini kitchen, that includes well equipped cabinets to store all pots and pans, refrigerator, most importantly, stove!

It's not the first time we've been cooking in office. The only thing I've not tried is the swimming pool upstairs. Ok, back to cooking. While Ming was overseas for bizness trip, we were so lazy that we had instant noodle almost everyday :P

This time round, the real cooking begins.

Look at the amount of plastic bags we had. You could have guessed the number of things Ming bought from Cold storage.

Meiyan teaching us how to fold the plastic bag in a triangular shape.

On the other hand, Ming is preparing for the feast!

Cherie being very helpful as usual!

Don't under estimate his cooking skills k!

And Tadah! The biggest portion I've eaten ever!

Yummy yummy!

Eugene managed to clear everything!!!

All well and good! @ 5:50 PM

We had Christmas tree for decos during Xmas. One month later for CNY, we had auspicious chinese banners & 2 delicate plants.

Few weeks later, one of the plants lost its way and almost died (like the image above).

Irony, isn't it? When it is supposed to be "吉祥安康" (All well and good).

I really did spinkled the plant as instructed by Ming!

Then we realised.. there is a "direct route" to its roots..

The next day, Ming called me.

Ming: Not sure if you realised, the plant sprung up!

Wooo, we revived it!

Recent movies to catch! @ 10:21 PM

I believe our impression of Coffeebean or Starbucks is either a place for chill-outs, coffee tea or yummy muffins etc. Am I like a last mountain turtle to realise that Coffee Bean serve dining menus as well? To end the weekend, Kenny brought me there to enjoy a great recommendation he claimed. That image at the left, called the Egg Ben. To-tally delicious! You should try it.

We are a pair of crazy movie couple, many might know. We combed the box offices and that's the only thing we wouldn't mind splurging our money on. Movie reviews are definitely great help for us to balance our pockets - making sure the money spent was worthwhile of course.

We caught "New In Town" yesterday. It bores me. Typical storyline with no wow factor. Spot Kenny with that piece of cool magazine? In there lies some cool movie reviews released in theatres. At the largest column compared to the rest, there it is, New In Town. with a 2 out of 5 rating.

Me: Why the hell they wanna feature this show than the rest instead?

But anyway I thought the articles are quite accurate and should be reliable. The next movie I am going to watch is definitely "The Reader" - by Kate Winslet. Is that the movie which wins her the grammy (or Oscar?) award.

That's 4/5 stars. I suppose it wouldn't be that bad, considering Defiance managed to get a 3.5/5.

One last thing before I end the post. "He's Just Not That Into You" is great. After the show, we realised that each of the character inside could be just like one of us. Well, not 100% but there might be some resemblance on some angle.

What's mine? I am the most similar to the crazy married bitch who smashed the mirror. Don't know who? Watch it. Mm.. maybe strike off the part where I will forgive my husband on cheating and that I don't give him sex life at all thru-out marriage life. Hehe, maybe just the part that I will go all mad knowing my bf is lying about smoking.

Uh-uh wouldn't be Jennifer Aniston to allow my BF to not marry me after bazillion years in a relationship. Even tho her boyfriend is sweet!

As for Kenny, I guessed it right. He is like Alex in the show.

So watch it! And you will know what I'm talking bout...

On the actual V day @ 11:29 PM

The above image was taken at the corridor of Kenny's flat. This neighbour of his had a collection of delicate plants. Of which one of them I find it rather unique. From far, doesn't it seems like a flock of pink birds with fine gradient?

On Vday last week, I had 2 movies sessions. First with Kenny to catch Valkyrie. It was great and Kenny had been yearning to watch it since last year June! There have been shows lately which adapt real life stories to be shown on theatres. I had 3 consecutively - Changeling, Defiance & Valkyrie. I love them all. From these films i was inspired and hold great admiration for the heroic figures featured.

http://www.impawards.com/2008/posters/curious_case_of_benjamin_button_ver10.jpg

The 2nd film I watch is fictional - The curious case of Benjamin Buttons. At start, bad remarks were storming to my ears on that film, being draggy and nonsenstical. Yeah I know, born old and died young right? We were on 'double-date' (Wennie, Ryan, My brother and myself) and had no other choice for other movies, we sat through 3 hours in the theatre catching it. Yes, it was long and draggy and some parts. Overall, I thought it was a nice film. Great angle and approach on life. Definitely thumbs up for the setting and make up.

The next intriguing thing which we did was to do ear candling. It looks like this.

Basically all the wax in your ear will be somehow miraculously 'sucked up' to the tube. Thus, allowing you to even hear the birds chirping from miles away. Kenny says it will have a theraphy effect.

Pre Valentines Day Last Last Week! @ 6:47 PM

Recap on last week (outdated post) - Pre Valentines' Celebration

I woke up, rinsed myself, dapped dry. That mirror hanging there captured that unsightly patch on my face.

That piece of dead skin is literally dangling on my face, yearning to be dropped off anytime soon.

It was a bad time, day, weather for swimming definitely, especially when the atmosphere is going haywire, ozone layer depleting.

Didn't know that my skin was so vulnerable to UV rays. Merely 2 hours plus under sunlight with water? So, how did I survive my swimming lessons back then.

This sunburnt experience created much joy rather than frustrations. The joy of laughing and watching at each other's painful, agonizing few seconds of smacking each other's back.

And on the negative side of things, I became darker than ever, skin peeling like a snake! My everyday must-haves - moistursiser for morning use and Tanaka white mask for night.

Yeah pretty disgusting right? My skin basically got wrinkled, dry and "jiao-jiao".

Everything before this Wild Wild Wet trip, was beautiful and relaxing..

We rested our feets at the chalet and took a slow walk about eHub and Downtown East. While we were anxiously waiting for the ToTo results to be out, we thought we shall pay Goddess of Luck a visit in the Jackpot room.

We were holding a bowl of $1 coins worth 50bucks. Had much fun pressing one after another, win some lost many! Hahahahhaa. Kenny were telling me how these computerised 'systems' work.

I can't imagine how those uncles and aunties can stay in there for such long hours hoping to strike rich!

We were given 1 complimentary coupon to a bar, entitled to 2 glass of drinks. Other than just pouring our hearts out, drinking.. I challenged him for a game of Pool.

After the game, I said that we should have Pool often! But he refused saying that we will waste money because I was lousy! :(

Fine.

And as all of you should know. If I strike ToTo, I wouldn't be here blogging. Probably I would tell Ming, " 我不干了!" and immediately booked tickets to some exotic island relaxing, having 24 hours of Spa! Hahahahahaha! Too bad, they aren't going to grant me my wish!

I tore the papers, having a lingering feeling of lost hope.

It's time that we get our asses back to computer chair and our minds off holidays.

as near to the edge as I can go.

Not trusting anymore! @ 11:08 PM

OKAY! I have decided! Too much for me to take. 3 incidents which happened in 2 days which made me stand firm.

NOT TO TRUST ANYONE SO EASILY AGAIN, NOT TO BE SO SOFT HEARTED EVER AGAIN!

Throughout my entire 20 years and estimated 3 mths of life, I've always been soft hearted, GULIBLE. Or in other words, being a fool! Or in a worse context, STUPID!

At work, I tried to give the best to the client, give them the best service. To the blogger, I hoped I tried to answer every queries that they have, and in any case, TRY hard to 'fight' for them in terms of monetary, ads or contest prizes. I have NEVER NEVER NEVER shown any disatisfaction in front of them even if I curse them behind their back for being so difficult. To sum it all up, I've always tried to build a harmonous relationship for everyone. Not tryin to compliment myself but believe it or not, I'm speaking the truth.

Just 2 days back, I was held between the client and the blogger. As the middleperson, it was difficult. In the first complaint (to the blogger), I helped her to 'gain trust' from the client by suggesting another solution out of the problem. If not she will be shipped out of the campaign. However, despite given 2nd chance, the blogger made mistake again and now I was pulled in the mess. That was headache number 1, for being too kind to give solutions in the first place.

On the same day, after conversing with one friend. It made me realised that a decision I made had reflected badly on me although I was not the "primary subject topic". Because it was me who gave the greenlight, purely just because I see that girl's perseverance and somehow 'took pity', knowing that the quality wasn't there.. In return for me, a remark of bad taste maybe?

I cannot be 'weak', always saying "yes yes yes yes yes" to everythng anything wadeva things for work matters. That doesnt help me in my career at all. NOT AT ALL! Having that personality, I will never stand out and always be the one taking orders and never rise. I have to learn. You may say that it is not me anymore, I am just trying to be. Well at least i tried and I want to be. It isn't a negative change.

To the last and most angry yet disappointing part. I love to share things, esp good ones. My rapidshare account, premium. I lend to 5 of my friends and one of them betrayed my trust obviously. EVERY SINGLE MONTH, I pay. My friends are using it for FREE, which of course I don't mind. It didn't came to me to change the password simply because of the big fat word TRUST. I tried logging in to my account today. The password was wrong. I panicked. Like what most people will do, I retrieved it back.

Listen, the main thing is I activated the security lock. Although logged in, in order for someone to change the password, they need to access my HOTMAIL to gain the code. That is what's good for rapidshare's security. SO OBVOUSLY SOMEONE HACKED INTO MY HOTMAIL RIGHT!?

I thought, fine. Since I got my account back. I should let the matter rest. (I've changed my PW) In my mind, I was in denial mode. At that point of time, I still trust my friends that they probably are not the ones. I told Kenny this:

"I think I changed it that time while testing the security code and forgot to switch it back, they (my friends) wldnt do that"

JUST MINS AFTER! My MSN notifies that rapidshare sent me a mail. I thought the problem solved, why they send me again? Coincidentally, my MSN got signed out stating logged in at another computer. And I got signed in back again. I did not care much bout it tho..

Later, I tried logging in Rapidshare. ACCOUNT COULDNT BE FOUND!!!!!!!

Login name = failed
PW = failed

And worst! EMAIL ADDRESS = FAIL TOO!!!!

WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF!!!! HE CHANGED ALL MY STUFF!!

How the hell can I verify now!!! Immediately I login into hotmail. THE MOST SHOCKING THING OF ALL, ALL MY MAILS, BE IT IN INBOX, FOLDERS JUNK OR WADEVA, GONE! In case you are wondering why that person can access my hotmail. That's because my PW is standard. So now should I in return thank you for nt changing my hotmail PW? *roll eyes*

OKAY I KNOW I AM DUMB. I already made it clear at the very start that I am damn fucking gulible. Hold on, just when you think you can hack into my other important accounts using the same old password, you are wrong. I CHANGED THEM ALL! FUCK U. I mean him.

C'mon it is not like some "ilovekenny" passwrd. IT IS A FREAKING COMPLICATED NUMBERIC + LETTER PASSWRD THAT ONLY CAN BE REMEMBERED IF U MEMORISED HARD! FOR GOD'S SAKE.

I had to fucking call to SWITZERLAND and speak to that helpful angmoh and spent so much time on it. He was not able to retrieve any of my shyt at all!!! Because that fucker cleared my mail (I can't check) and fucking changed all my info. In the end I had to prt screen him a paypal transaction of mine to verify. AND THANK GOD ITS BACK TO ME!

So, friends tell me. What do Iget in return for being kind and helpful?! No wonder people changed as they grew older. The world seems selfish too. I am not lending my rapidshare accounts anymore, except to 1 poly friend. Sorry, blame it on that hacker.

Valentines day - yet another day?

"I'm not going to celebrate valentines day" - says a colleague of mine.

"Same here" - says another.

To shun the crowded weekend next week, we decided to move our so call "celebration" a week earlier.

dVb - Not worth the brand @ 5:21 PM

We were out catching a movie- Defiance, yesterday. Afterwhich, we are supposed to shop for a leather shoe which he has been eyeing for very long. That was supposed to be my Valentines' Day gift for him(also a surprise), but uh.. due to unforsee circumstances (lol. his old pair die-d) I have to bring forward by 2 weeks! He too, wanted to get me something in return, knowing that I would love to have a Dior perfume.

In the perfume shop.

Kenny: Eh! Didn't know that David Beckham carries a perfume brand.

Me: Oh I know this brand - dVb. (by Victoria Beckham I guess if i'm not wrong).

Kenny: There is one for female too. *Look at the price*

He let out a loud giggle and thought that it was cheapskate.

Me: Does it smells good?

yeah, u got the answer.
